KNAPP HOUSE LODGES – BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The Booking
1.1. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable at the time of booking with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. We will confirm your booking once we receive your deposit.
1.2. If the holiday is due to start within 6 weeks of the booking or you are making a booking for a short break then full payment is due at the time of booking. We will confirm your booking on receipt of this payment.
1.3. All bookings are provisional until confirmed by us.
1.4. Please check the details on your booking confirmation are correct and inform us as soon as possible if they are incorrect or incomplete.
1.5. If we have not received the balance within 5 days of the due date we will consider the booking to be cancelled and you will forfeit your deposit.
1.6. All payments must be made in pounds Sterling.
1.7. If you are required to cancel a reservation for any reason, we must be notified immediately by telephone or email. If the cancellation occurs more than 6 weeks prior to your holiday starting your deposit will be forfeited. If the cancellation is less than 6 weeks before your holiday is due to start we will make every effort to re-let the property. If we are successful we will reimburse you 75% of the total rental. If we are unsuccessful you are liable to the full rental. We strongly recommend that you take out Holiday Insurance to cover this eventuality.
1.9. Bookings are made in good faith with the belief that the property will be available to you on the date stated on the booking form. If, for any reason, due to circumstances beyond our control this is not possible we will endeavour to provide alternative accommodation. However if not, the deposit and the balance will be refunded in full and you will have no further claim against us.
1.10. Prices and availability are subject to change without prior notice
2. Responsibilities
2.1. The number of people occupying the property during your stay must not exceed the number stated on your booking confirmation.
2.2. The property is rented on the understanding that it is for the purpose of a holiday and will only be used as such by you and your party.
2.3. We want everyone who stays with us to really enjoy their holiday so we request that you show due consideration for other parties, for the property and that you refrain from rude or offensive behaviour.
2.4. The lodge must be returned to us in the same state of repair and condition as at the beginning of your holiday. We reserve the right to charge for any damage to the lodge and its contents, or for any cleaning beyond that which might reasonably be expected after a lodge has been used for a holiday. For example this might include having to clean carpets,remove spillages and stains. You should report any damage or breakage as soon as practicable so that we can determine whether reimbursement is appropriate.
2.5. The lodge is available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure unless notified otherwise.
2.6. We allow one small well behaved dog in Stapledon Lodge and Hunters Lodge only for which there is a daily charge payable at the time of your booking. More than one dog may be accommodated by prior agreement. No other pets or animals are permitted. You will be liable for all damage caused by your dog and we reserve the right to charge for this.
2.7. You may walk your dog in the grounds as indicated on arrival but they must be on a lead at all times when outside (other animals may be present). We will expect you to remove all traces of your pet’s stay from the property (inside and out) before you depart.
2.8. Dogs are not allowed on the beds or the furniture even if you provide your own rugs/blankets and they must not be left unattended in the lodge at any time.
2.9. All our lodges are Non-Smoking.
3. General
3.1. Guests are responsible for supervising their children and dogs at all times.
3.2. We recommend that you ensure that your Holiday Insurance covers loss or damage to your personal property and vehicle which you bring onto our property at your own risk.
3.3. The proprietors will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any injury to persons not caused through the direct fault of the proprietor. We expect our guests to be mindful of their own safety and security and to ensure that those persons for which they are responsible are adequately supervised.
3.4. We hope you enjoy your holiday but if you need to bring anything to our attention please do this as soon as possible during your stay and at the latest before you leave.
3.5 For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 all personal and other information collected during the booking process will not be disclosed to any third party. However from time to time we may want to contact you with special offers for Knapp House Lodges. You should let us know if you do not want to
